10 days already have passed so quickly, and now it's time to go home. I have learned alot. But I'm happy to go home tomorrow. :)
We showed Jesus Film near where we live, Kissy, the east where the poorer people would live...
It was in Krio - their language, so I couldn't understand much, but it was amazing to see the response from the crowd. They would clap their hands when Jesus did some miracles... they would boo and cry when Jesus was nailed on the cross.... It was so spontaneous reaction......
and after the film, we prayed together with those who decided to become the followers of Jesus... IT was FANTASTIC!!! and the best thing was that I felt God's presence there - warm, and weighty on my hands......
I can't wait to go back though.. it's just toooooooo hot. There are only cold water - I need hot bath! :)
Electricity wouldn't stay long. we all have torches for the toilet at night... We can't open the windows because we don't wanna get mosquito bites... - therefore very hot! night sweating like pigs... =. =
Somehow, Sierra Leone very much reminds me of Korea of 1950s- though I wasn't born then. I just feel that Korea then would have been like Sierra Leone... I think of the missionaries who came to Korea in late 20 century...
I've been working at Cheshire home - polio school... looking at them in a terrible situation ---- no ramps for the wheelchairs... only 3 wheelchairs for about 50 kids... but they would still play football with their hands and c....
I gotta go now!
